Does Christmas begin November 1st or December 1st?

Does your Christmas begin November 1st or December 1st?

Admittedly in years past for me, the Christmas season begins in December. This year however I have decided to join the November 1st Christmas festivities, and I already feel happier and more excited for the season ahead.

Last night watched The Holiday Calendar on Netflix to kick off a season of Christmas movies. I ate a mince pie with a cup of strong English tea (even though I stopped eating sugar 2 & 1/2months ago), just to commemorate the occasion.

And yesterday I bought the sweetest Christmas tree on a shelf (see pic)

Is my Christmas tree up yet? No, but it will be soon. In fact, I’m doing two this year, because I can.

Will my 5 cats attack the ornaments? Maybe. (You may have noticed some of them featured in the socials feeds.)

The homemade felt ornaments were their favourites when they were kittens and were lifted from the tree to hockey whack around the floor for chase and pounce attacks.

They now mostly enjoy assisting in setting up the tree, with the occasion ‘safety test’ (ornament boop) then they forget about it.

This year, my new rescue Ragdoll, Soul is still learning how to ‘cat’, he is quite big, and everything is a game to him, so we shall see how the tree fare this year.

The other half of the Christmas Fun team is moving house, so while she would love to have her tree up now, plans are on hold until the big move. I have seen here admiring a pink one this year. Last years was 2 metres tall. While I am unsure what will go in the new place, I do know the removalists instructions are “all boxes marked ‘Christmas’ to go straight to the lounge room immediately”.
